Looks like Google is still hopeful about its Nexus tablet range as rumors of the 2016 model have started surfacing. The latest report from China indicates that the HTCNexus 9 rolled out in 2014 will get a sequel next year with Nexus 6P builder Huawei as the anointed maker. Other than this dimension, no other details have been provided by the recent leak posted on Weibo, which is China’s dominant micro-blogging website. Firstly, news has it that the company has replaced Asus with Huawei as the company manufacturing the next tablet. Then Google stopped producing tablets, and concentrated more on Nexus phones.

Do you think that Huawei is a good choice to manufacture the upcoming tablet? This assumption is based on Huawei’s impressive works with the premium Nexus 6P and the Chinese firm’s equally impressive line of flagship devices.

Nexus 7 2016 could be manufactured by Huawei according to some very fresh rumors.

Huawei MediaPad X2 is a 7-inch tablet that is capable of a 1,200 x 1,920 resolution and was released last May 2015. Still, the Nexus 5X sold extremely well and it is still selling. The tablet refresh will surely not retail in the previous Nexus 7’s price of just over the $250 mark. One of the biggest Nexus launches was the Nexus 5, and Google actually tried to replicate that success this year with the Nexus 5X but it’s a bit of a tricky matter as consumers were displeased about certain aspects. In the same event, the Nexus 7 2016 will likely be introduced, setting off the countdown for the pure Android tablet’s release date in the immediate months or weeks ahead.
